Due to concerns about COVID 19, our Pasta Dinner was postponed. We will inform you when we have a new date.
This year’s annual fundraising event, FDC’s Pasta Dinner, Dance & Auction, is on March 14th. This highlights our youngest dancers from Tot Combo and our Youth Ensemble, Modern 1, TapJazz and Hip Hop 1 classes. Select dancers from the Youth Ensemble also get to step into the role of “choreographer” and create an original work on their peers.
For the past ten years, the Pasta Dinner, Dance & Auction provided a benefit to everyone. At FDC we work hard to keep tuition affordable. Tuition alone only covers the basic functions at FDC. The money raised at this fundraiser goes to improvements to better service the needs of our students. Last year, we purchased new portable dance barres and a new sprung floor in the “office” studio.
Let’s join together and support this fundraiser for these studio upgrades: a new marley dance flooring, out of town Master teachers, quality stage managers for our performances and additional teachers/staff. But, to do this we need your help!
Here’s how you can be involved: 1. Donate a themed basket or team up with other families to create a basket for the Silent Auction. Basket ideas can be found online or you may check out a list posted at the studio. The basket can be donated by you, your employer, a friend, or obtained from a favorite business. The more items we have, the more money we raise. Please drop off all items/baskets to the studio by March 6th. 2. Sign up to donate items needed for the actual dinner: table coverings, appetizers, desserts, drinks, flatware etc., or volunteer to set up, clean up or serve food. Check the bulletin board for items and to sign up. Drop off donations by Wednesday March 11th. 3. Be a class leader. Help organize and collect items from the families in your child’s dance class. Please let Mrs. Martin know if you are interested. 4. Buy tons of tickets and cheer on other FDC students! It is a great time to for the entire family to socialize and show their support! 5. Make a tax-deductible financial contribution. “The Florida Dance Conservatory Outreach Program” is a fiscally sponsored project by Fractured Atlas, a 501c3 non-profit arts service organization. This allows us to receive tax-deductible donations and grants. A tax-deductible financial contribution can be made online at this link: https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/florida-dance-conservatory-outreach-program Or speak to Mrs. Martin and she will be happy to make sure any financial contribution is properly handled. Get the word out and we will see you Saturday March14th at St. Ann Banquet Hall, downtown West Palm Beach. Cocktail reception at 5pm followed by the Performance at 6pm. Tickets before February 28th are $10. Tickets after are $15. Bring family, friends, neighbors and your checkbook for the Auction. Thank you in advance for your support.
